HealthWise: Dunewood Pharmacy

Are you still a bit reluctant to go into public places when you need a prescription or over-the-counter health supplies? Consider the safety, convenience and personalized service of Dunewood Pharmacy!

Q.  Does Dunewood Pharmacy offer drive-up service?
A.  Yes, we do! Just pull in the main hospital entrance, go under and beyond the portico, and you’ll see a sign for pharmacy pickup. It’s just like restaurant take-out: call the number on the sign and give your name. We’ll deliver your prescription, along with any other health supplies you need, out to your car.

Q.  Do you have another option if I can’t get to Dunewood?
A.  We are happy to deliver your medications to you at no charge. We typically can go as far as Pontaluna Road to the north, out to 148th St. to the east, and as far south as Lincoln.

Q.  Is it safe to come inside Dunewood Pharamcy?
A.  This is probably one of the safest pharmacies you can visit, because it’s inside the hospital. Everyone who enters the hospital doors – staff and patients alike – is screened for fever. Everyone in our hospital wears a mask all the time…no exceptions. So if you would like a consultation or service, please put on your face covering and come on in!

Q. Can I get shots at Dunewood Pharmacy?
A.  Absolutely! We provide flu shots (seasonally), pneumonia shots and shingles shots. And while you may not be thinking about an international vacation just yet, we do offer travel shots such for illnesses such as malaria, hepatitis and more. Just call if you need something specific. If we don’t have it, we’ll do our best to get it.

Q.  What insurance does Dunewood Pharmacy accept?
A.  We accept all major insurance plans as well as Medicare Part D.

Q.  What are your hours?
A.  Dunewood Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Q.  How can I reach you?
A.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please call us at 842-5193.
